A friend of mine whose FF.net nickname was Slayne22 started writing about them (although she admits she doesn't own them or the idea, of course) back in 2003/2004. She's no longer active in GI Joe fandom.

The relationship is totally not canon but I think it totally works. The best story, Cyberlife, isn't on her FF.net because it was pulled down - it was written as IM message logs.

For me it just works, because of the smartass + hardass factor. Sort of an "opposites attract, then drive each other nuts" vibe.
