My general preferences are here.
I know I'll love whatever world you build for me!
My blanket DNW are nominated character death, cruelty/death to children/animals, extreme/graphic/sexual violence.
Fairy Tail
Levy McGarden (FT), Gajeel Redfox (FT), Freed Justine (FT)
WB: Script Magic (FT)
WB: Grand Magic Games (FT)
Primarily looking for the following:
1. Grand Magic Games that don't end up in fighting the apocalypse - an actual tournament of skills
2. Script mages - how they do what they do
3. How Script Mages can best support the Dragon Slayers (yes I am a Gale shipper)
So Fairy Tail is a weird fandom for me because there’s a lot of writing and not as much stuff that I like. But it’s big so there’s less exchanges I can request it in.
GMG – While I enjoyed the Dragon King Festival, I’d really love a GMG where they actually get to compete without the end of the world being on the menu. I’d love focusing on this for the 3 characters nommed, or pretty much any of the guilds/characters that appear in the arc. I’m particularly fond of how Fairy Tail has an A and B team, and I like Lamia Scale and Mermaid Heel. I’d also be down for post-GMG party time for real, not like what we got in the episode.
I’m rewatching right now, and would be very down for a second generation battle. Kids of Gajeel/Levy, Natsu/Lucy, Jellal/Erza, Laxus/Mira, Gray/Juvia, Rogue/Sting, Bickslow/Lisanna, Elf/Ever, Cana/Bacchus, Lyon…any old rivalries.
I’m a big Gale shipper, so feel free to keep that in mind.
I’d love a look at how the script mages do their thing, and peculiarlities around it. They’re support magic, but it is powerful. Think about Freed’s traps in the Fantasia arc or in the S-Class, and how Levy and Evergreen both subvert it. (I’ve just been rewatching that whole arc, and for Freed I also love the scene where he stops fighting to lecture his enemy. Channel that.). Levy making Gajeel the iron with the heart in it is another one of my faves.
Nantucket Trilogy - S.M. Stirling
Althea Walker (Nantucket Trilogy), Kathryn Hollard (Nantucket Trilogy), Kashtiliash (Nantucket Trilogy), Odikweos (Nantucket Trilogy)
WB: Tensions between uptimers and downtimers (Nantucket Trilogy)
WB: Nantucketers are the Sea Peoples (Nantucket Trilogy)
WB: Revenge of William Walker's Side (Nantucket Trilogy)
WB: Exploring the 1250 BCE World (Nantucket Trilogy)
WB: Alliance with Babylon falls apart (Nantucket Trilogy)
Primarily looking for the following:
1. As the trilogy closes, Althea Walker and Ohotolarix are riding into Central Asia. I don't think Walker's daughter stays down for long. How does she come back? Do they mount any attempts to find her?
2. It's always hinted that Kathryn is going to find herself more torn between her roles as Queen of Babylon and Nantucketer - show me more of that. I don't want her and Kashtiliash torn apart but I am good with some angst and a compromise. Or, what drives the stake in the alliance's heart? How does Kathryn feel about being on the wrong side
3. What else is out there in 1250 BCE?
4. Tensions go along with alliance with Babylon failing, but this I see as more of the little things that make it difficult for the two groups to get along. Maybe look at the experiences of downtime students who come to Nantucket - everyone can't be happy and welcoming.
5. Do any of their historians ever realize that the Nantucketers are LITERALLY the Sea Peoples? Are there conspiracy theories? Do they find some group to be the Sea Peoples?
So like, I just want MORE. What happens next? I’m never going to stop being salty about 10+ emberverse books and nothing more for this trilogy.
I love Kathryn/Kash and their adaptation to each other’s world.
Sea Peoples. The Sea Peoples. I can’t believe I just realized it two years ago.
I don’t want Althea to win completely, but I wouldn’t be opposed to her carving out a little queendom and causing problems, but interacting with other players.
Dungeons and Dragons (Cartoon)
Eric | The Cavalier (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon), Sheila | The Thief (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon), Ramoud (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon), Varla (Dungeons and Dragon Cartoon)
WB: The Hall of Bones (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)
WB: How Long are The Kids in the Realm? (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon) WB: Royalty in the Realm (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)
WB: Portals that don't lead back to the Amusement Park (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)
WB: Other Parties in the Realm (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)
1. I'd really love something lush that shows a royal court our adventurers come upon. Maybe Eric or Sheila are kidnapped by a princess/prince? Maybe show us Ramoud's court? Or show us a historical one of a queen from the Hall of Bones?
2. How do the portals that don't lead home make them feel? Maybe a portal that appears to go home but just takes them elsewhere in the Realm? You can make this one a little darker if you like but eventually save them.
3. There have to have been other parties that DM brought through. What happened to them? Are they still trapped in the Realm? Might they join forces?
4. How long are they in the Realm vs. how long are they gone in the real world? Canon suggests that no one has even noticed they're gone.
5. Tell me more about the Hall of Bones and the people in it.
Pretty much what it says. If you want to channel a fairy tale or something similar (Sleeping Beauty or perhaps Princess and the Pea) go for it. A fairy tale telling of the Hall of Bones? A fairy tale the kids have to unravel?
The portals that go elsewhere – I am totally down if you want to do a little time travel or they never existed/have been missing.
For how long they’ve been gone - I am good for either side.
I’m totally down for 1000+ words of description, scene-setting fluff. Or a Back to the Realm story.
I do love Ramoud so please include him. He would be a great force for exposition, but I love him and Eric together.

Star Trek: The Vulcan Academy Murders - Jean Lorrah
Amanda Grayson (VAM - Lorrah), Spock (VAM - Lorrah), Leonard "Bones" McCoy (VAM - Lorrah), Any Off-Worlder Student (VAM - Lorrah)
WB: Vulcans Adopting Earth Foods (VAM Lorrah)
WB: Studying at the Vulcan Science Academy (VAM - Lorrah)
WB: Starfleet Personnel at Vulcan Science Academy (VAM - Lorrah)
WB: Off-World Student Culture in ShiKahr (VAM - Lorrah)
WB: Humans Adapting to Life on Vulcan (VAM - Lorrah)
So I enjoyed the whole part of this book where we see human college students sort of infiltrating Vulcan, with their Italian restaurants and all - I'd love to see more about it from their POV. How do they view Vulcan and Vulcans? What about Starfleet personnel doing a course there?
So, some things I liked from the book:
The delayed sexual maturity and humans being a little clueless about it, as college students might.
“Human women were more subtle—and far more likely to know or surmise the facts of Vulcan biology. They didn’t waste time on Vulcan students; those few looking for a real challenge focused their interest on their male professors.”
Humans acting a little extra formal on the regular (and Vulcans who want them to relax a little).
Italian restaurant on Vulcan? Tell me about it. More about gardens like Amanda’s – maybe a place that provides a little taste of home with a greenhouse that supplies the restaurant AND gives people a little bit of Earth to hang out in, maybe volunteer at? Trying to adapt Vulcan food or adapting to it.
“There was a Vulcan saying, “I rejoice in our differences.” Kirk realized that he was seeing it in action.”
“Vulcans do not worry about what ‘people think.’ They are concerned with tradition—but when an offworlder conforms to tradition, they accept him as one of their own…even marrying into Vulcan culture.
Not really into the whole T’Vet side plot but desert excursions are up my alley.
I’m also interested in the idea of Starfleet personnel (science or medical, generally) attending exchange programs. Doesn’t have to be McCoy, but I would be totally down for that. Not to mention snarking/exchanging letters with Spock.
I’d also be interested in the idea of Amanda as a mentor/mother of sorts for human students at the VSA.
