It's my 15th Yuletide!

You can also use the "dear writer" tag but TBH I copy/paste letters a lot.  The general preferences were updated and restyled this year, so if you've written for me before, definitely give it a look!

Optional details are optional, but I love a good chatty letter.  I want to give you something to latch on to but don't feel constrained.  I have more to say about some but some of that is just more time requesting them.

Remember, whatever you write, I will love!  I know 2020 2021 2022  2023 has been rough on a lot of people, so please don't stress out too much because Yuletide will be wonderful!  It's definitely been full of challenges for me, so let's celebrate with awesome fic!  These are a mix - 3 repeat requests and 2 new (for Yuletide) requests.

Crossovers are definitely welcome, as are AUs!  If you cross it over with Clue or an Agatha Christie fandom/detective (Poirot, Marple, Ariadne Oliver, And Then There Were None) I'm good with anything - otherwise, see my preferences - cracky or serious crossovers welcome.  I also welcome any and all crossovers involving Nancy Drew. 

I do enjoy the trappings of the Christmas holiday (mistletoe, gifts, hot chocolate, oh no we're snowed in together and must stay warm somehow... or we're trapped with a killer, family togetherness, snowball fights, traveling over the river and through the terminal) but do not require them.  If they work though, by all means, take advantage of it.

Sorry this wasn't up earlier, but I'm preparing to move and having a bad reaction to dust and dead bugs in my garage.

This is Yuletide Number Nine!  I'm really excited and I know we're both going to have fun with it.

General writing stuff can be found here.

I'll love whatever you write for me, so don't feel bad if we didn't match on one of my repeat requests.  All of my requests excite me!

I'm totally down for crossovers between fandoms requested, or with Poirot, Marple, etc.  On the Scoop one, I wouldn't be averse to working in the Queens of Crime deal.

First off, thank you for agreeing to do this!  I love getting (and giving) stories, and this is my seventh Yuletide.  I hope the assignment doesn't give you TOO many fits.

Warning: I am one of the long letter-writers. 

Optional details are optional, but I tend to be one of the people who always wants MORE information, so I provide plenty for you.  Also, in case this isn't enough, previous letters can be found under the "dear yuletide writer" tag.  Also of interest may be my "recs" tag, and of course on AO3 you can see the stuff I’ve written.

General wants/don't wants: Stories don’t need to be super sappy and sugary/fluffy, but please don’t get all grim and dark.  Bittersweet can work if there are hopeful tinges.  I like humor, and I don't think I do a good job of writing it - sparkling snappy dialogue always works!  Holiday-themed is fine if that’s where the story takes you, but not required.  I generally prefer het or gen.  I'd rather not have too-explicit sex for Yuletide, but romance is always in - ESPECIALLY if you're going a holiday route because I love Christmas and mistletoe. The "fade to black" or implied sex is fine, or making out.  I'm a fan of AU, but prefer canon-divergence or "what-if" scenarios, rather than "all the characters are at boarding school together" types.

For the mystery-related prompts, I am a huge fan of "seemingly unrelated group of people trapped somewhere and discover they a) have something in common and b) can't just leave" - see Clue, see And Then There Were None.

The good news is that last year’s author wrote my long-standing “really really really want” story, so this year’s prompts are a little newer.

General things: Stories don’t need to be super sappy and sugary , but please don’t get all grim and dark.  Bittersweet can work, as long as there are hopeful tinges.  Holiday-themed is fine if that’s where the story takes you.  I prefer het or gen on the fandoms listed.  I am deployed to Afghanistan this year, so very much looking forward to Yuletide as pretty much the only part of my Christmas-time celebration that's not getting messed up.

Have fun writing whichever one we match on, and I know I'll have fun reading it!
